Les Demoiselles - (France)

In 1988, Chantal Wilk and Jean Tatin took over the old domain in Quincy from Jean's father, Raymond Tatin. Both, being agricultural engineers, soon proceed to the complete renewal and restoration of the vineyards. They also help restore this forgotten yet historic and renowned appellation, which has long stood in the shadow of Sancerre and Pouilly. Later, in the early 2000s, they also do the same in neighboring municipality of Reuilly. "Les Demoiselles" by Tatin is born! Here too, top wines from Sauvignon and Pinot Noir are made with a slightly more interesting price tag than in the nearby legendary villages. Quincy also had Sancerre and Pouilly, the first ever village in the Loire, to have the famous AOC status. The substrate and climate are comparable to Sancerre and guarantee lively wines with high quality. They also make a remarkable rosé from Pinot Gris which they highly recommend at Tarte ... TATIN!
